ABOUT
Shamra Clark, Principal – In her nearly 20 years of fundraising experience, Shamra has cultivated a broad base of skills in individual, foundation, and corporate fundraising, as well as in communications and community organizing.
She has worked for Forterra (formerly Cascade Land Conservancy), National Audubon Society, the Initiative for Global Development, and the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition. As Vice President of Development at Forterra, Shamra led an eight-person fundraising, marketing, and volunteer outreach team; successfully completed a $21 million campaign, exceeding the initial goal by more than $1 million; and directly secured six and seven figure gifts. At the Initiative for Global Development, Shamra served as Vice President of Development and crafted and launched a new model for corporate membership services and fundraising that now provides the organization’s primary source of revenue.
Shamra is a Washington State native and holds a B.S. in environmental science from Western Washington University. She lives in Edmonds with her husband and two young sons and spends much of her free time in eastern Washington where she grew up.
